After the crash

The adjuster works for them. We stand with you.

The calls. The bills. The pain. An adjuster who sounds friendly but is paid to pay you less. From day one, we take that weight off your shoulders:

We handle the insurance company
Every call and every letter goes through us, not you.
We line up your medical care
Get treated now, even before your case settles.
We build your case for trial
Preparing to win in court is what earns stronger settlements.

You focus on getting better. We handle the rest.

Questions
What does it cost to hire Harris Injury Law?+

Nothing upfront. We typically handle car accident cases on a contingency fee basis, which means our attorney fees are only collected if we obtain a recovery for you. No retainer, no hourly billing. All terms are explained clearly in writing before we begin, and your consultation is always free.

Do I actually have a case?+

If you were injured and someone else caused the crash, even partly, you likely have a claim. The free case review exists to answer exactly that: tell us what happened and Jason will tell you honestly whether you have a case and what it could be worth. No pressure, no obligation.

How long do I have to file a claim in Arizona?+

Arizona generally gives you two years from the date of the accident to file a personal injury lawsuit. Waiting costs you: evidence disappears, witnesses forget, and insurers count on delay. Even if your crash was months ago, you likely still have time, but it is best to call sooner rather than later.

What if the accident was partly my fault?+

You can still recover. Arizona follows pure comparative negligence, which means your compensation is reduced by your percentage of fault, not eliminated. Even someone found mostly at fault can still recover. Don't decide you have no case based on what an adjuster told you.

What if the other driver has no insurance, or drove off?+

You may still have a strong claim. Your own policy's uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage often applies. Arizona requires insurers to offer it, and it can also cover hit and run crashes where the other driver is never found. We know how to locate every available source of compensation.

Do I need my own insurance to make a claim?+

Your claim is against the at-fault driver's insurance, not yours, so your own coverage status doesn't stop you from recovering. If you carry optional medical payments (MedPay) coverage, it can help pay your medical bills right away while your case proceeds. We'll sort out which policies apply during your free review.

I wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Does that ruin my case?+

No. Under Arizona law, evidence that you were not wearing a seatbelt generally cannot be used against you to reduce your damages in an injury claim. Don't let guilt, or an adjuster's suggestion, talk you out of a case you may be entitled to bring.

Will I work with an actual attorney?+

Yes. At Harris Injury Law you speak directly with Jason A. Harris, not just a case manager or a call center. Jason is also one of the few Phoenix attorneys who regularly handles both personal injury and workers' compensation claims, which gives him added insight into complex vehicle injury cases.

How much is my case worth?+

It depends on your medical bills (past and future), lost income, pain and suffering, and how the injuries change your daily life. That's exactly what the free case review tells you. After one conversation we can usually give you a realistic range based on cases like yours. One thing is almost always true: it's worth more than the insurance company's first offer.

What happens after I call or submit the form?+

Our team is available 24/7, so you can reach out whenever it suits you. You get a free, confidential case review: we listen to what happened, tell you honestly whether you have a case, and explain your next steps. If we take your case, we handle the insurance company, the paperwork, and the process, and Jason personally stays involved so you can focus on getting better.
